WUAVF Turkey is the Turkish Chapter of WORLD UAV FEDERATION, which was established in June 2019. Operating in Ankara, Turkey as a non-profit and non-governmental organization serves as the UAVs industry official hub and international networking platform, with the mandate to foster growth and facilitate further development of Unmanned Systems in the area of geographic reach. As the Chapter of WUAVF in Europe, Middle-East, and neighbor continents/areas the Turkish Chapter focuses on the promotion of Unmanned Systems by facilitating the exchange of information regarding concerned technologies, regulations and policies, best practices, training options and much more between industry manufacturers, government authorities, universities, R & D centers, national ministries, and EU, Middle-East, and worldwide agencies.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Haydar ATEŞ, Ph.D., is from Ankara, Turkey. He is the faculty member of the University of Turkish Aeronautical Association (UTAA), the first and the unique university of Turkey on aviation and space sciences.
His major is management. He has 4 master degrees from different areas. His Ph.D. is from Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey.
Dr. Haydar ATEŞ also served in the Turkish Army as an officer and retired as Colonel. During his career, he served many countries around the world on behalf of Turkey. He commanded national and multinational troops and organizations in conflict areas around the world, such as Multinational Force Commander in West Bank, Palestine, NATO ISAF Central Commander in Afghanistan, etc.
He has published books in Turkey, book chapters in the USA and Switzerland, and articles published in the international area. He is participating also in major industry events in Turkey, China, Europe as a speaker. Being dedicated to the mission and vision of the World UAV Federation he is working intensely to support the local drone industry and grow the spectrum of activities of the Turkish Chapter.
